Constructing new high-density housing near public transit stations poses the developer and design team with many challenges and opportunities not normally present in typical urban infill or suburban developments. Sometimes referred to as “Transit-Oriented Developments,” or TODs, these projects intentionally mix a community’s land-use and transit priorities.
